Fire coral are not technically coral, even though they look very similar to it. In fact fire coral is actually more closely related to Hydra. We know that coral or in this case "fire coral", does not really move...at all. However, it still has muscles. They are mostly epitheliomuscular structures. This basically means that they are small muscles near the outer edge of the organism. This aids in keeping the structure of the fire coral and to help it sway back and forth in the water.
